Principal Trumpet Larry Larson makes a welcome return as soloist in exciting premiere performances of a trumpet concerto by one of Canada’s most beloved composers, John Estacio. A co-commission with 18 Canadian orchestras, this highly anticipated new work will be played across the country. American conductor Michael Christie, currently Music Director of the Minnesota Opera, leads this exciting program, which also includes one of Beethoven’s best-known compositions, the famous Fifth Symphony, and Verdi’s most beloved overture.
