Jackson Reed, Kalle Mattson and Rusty McCarthy among the Sault musicians honoured
Nominees for the Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards were announced Thursday, and Sault Ste. Marie has some impressive representation.
In music categories, Jackson Reed was nominated for Best Video by a Northern Ontario Musical Act and Best Album; Kalle Mattson received three nominations – Best Songwriter, Best Video by a Northern Ontario Musical Act, and Best Album; and Rusty McCarthy was nominated in the Best Engineer category for his work on MD Dunn’s release, Solace.
The Maltese Guinea Pig and Atom Egoyan’s Remember received award nods in film categories.
