KWCMS is again happy to present some new-to-everyone repertoire. Arnold Bax became one of Britain’s most respected composers in the early 20th Century; Alexis Castillon is new to us. These two big and original piano quintets will make absorbing listening, especially as the piano part is entrusted to an artist we have come to know and love in the Chamber Music Society, while the quartet will be drawn from the ranks of Toronto’s best chamber musicians as usual. We have a truly outstanding team, with three members of the Toronto Symphony, while the violist is soon to be in the Faculty of Music at University of Toronto. Read on!
