Foo Fighters are giving fans an early musical gift to unwrap this holiday season, continuing their EP series with the latest installment 00979725, which finds the band covering Killing Joke among other era-specific gems.
This set appears to have come from 1997, during the period when the band was promoting their The Colour and the Shape album. The highlight of the set is a live cover of Killing Joke’s “Requiem” that was captured during a performance at the BBC in May of 1997.
The set also includes a slow version of “Up in Arms,” an acoustic take on “See You,” the single mix of “Walking After You” and well as the track “Dear Lover,” which initially appeared as a Japanese bonus track for the album. Take a listen in the player below.
Foo Fighters expect to be busy in 2020. They’re finishing out the year in the studio working toward a new album and already have a handful of tour dates booked for the new year. Expect their touring output to grow and stay up to date with all their touring activity here.
