Jonathan has studied at Humber college, and in the summer of 2012, he participated as 1 of 10 students worldwide in the Berklee 5-Week Jazz Workshop directed by Terri Lyne Carrington and Rick DiMuzio. That following September, Jonathan enrolled at Berklee College of Music as a full-time student with a full-tuition scholarship. As a hardworking musician During his time at Berklee, Jonathan has had the great pleasure to study privately or in an ensemble with the likes of Hal Crook, George Garzone, Darren Barrett, Tiger Okoshi, Dave Santoro, John Lockwood, John Patiucci and Eddie Gomez, among many notable others.

The Jonathan Chapman Trio are rare standouts of their generation. Combining a rich understanding of the Jazz tradition with a youthful energy, the group sets to engage listeners with an evening of creative and rewarding music. With a diverse program featuring hard-swinging standards, under-performed favourites, and imaginative original pieces, the trio’s motive is to satisfy listeners while exploring the creative avenues of the present moment. The group features Danae Greenfield on piano, and Norbert Botos on drums.
